In the summer of 2022, I wanted to try to perfect skin tones for future sitting portraits and decided to test it out on myself. My last self portrait was done in oil, which I found to either be a year very time consuming (a year at least) or very muddy and gray. I decided to try acrylic and I really enjoyed the fast-paced ability of this paint. I wanted to have a night-time setting because I feel like those are very rare in sitting portraits. Overall, I really like how this turned out and it took me 7 full days!
